Dapper Sports community,
In an effort to bring our teams closer to our products and community, we are introducing a new collecting policy and set of in-product restrictions that will allow our team members to collect Moments on NBA Top Shot and NFL ALL DAY with full protections in place to ensure fairness and transparency for our community.
We consider it a priority to grant our team members the opportunity to learn and experience the product to better understand collectors’ perspectives and pain points, and the long-term collectibility associated with our products. With that being said, we consider it an even bigger priority to ensure the product is fair and maintains integrity at all times for all collectors.
As a result, we are excited to share a policy that was influenced by your feedback from the draft version we shared in the summer of 2022 and was created in collaboration with the external law firm, Wilson Sonsini.
Employee accounts will only be able to purchase Moments from the Marketplace. They will not be able to sell, lock, gift, burn, or trade-in Moments, participate in Challenges, accept Offers, win IRL experiences, participate in any pack drops or refer friends for Dapper Balance. In special circumstances, such as for NBA Top Shot’s Holiday of Hoops campaign, select employees will be allowed to participate through gifting a Moment to the new Top Shot Secret Santa account. No employees will be eligible to receive a Moment through gifting.
We intend to use this highly restrictive policy as a baseline and hope to work towards a model in which employees can collect alongside the community in a more meaningful way down the road. However, as we have demonstrated from the outset of this initiative, we will ensure that the community is brought into the discussion every step of the way.
